Gabriel Heaton is a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with a deep-rooted commitment to holistic and compassionate mental health care. With advanced training from Western Governors University and a nursing foundation built at the University of Utah and Salt Lake Community College, Gabriel brings a thoughtful, evidence-based approach to psychiatric treatment across a wide range of mental health conditions.
A practicing member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Gabriel served a two-year mission in Chicago, Illinois, where he discovered his love for connecting with and serving people in some of the darkest and most difficult moments of their lives. That experience shaped his lifelong dedication to walking with others through struggle toward healing and hope. His testimony of Christ as the Healer has deepened through his own mental health struggles and personal path to recovery. In addition, Gabriel is the founder of Modern Grace Gallery, where he creates Christ-centered artwork with AI art tools to bring healing and hope.
He has extensive clinical experience in inpatient psychiatry, crisis intervention, and psychopharmacology, and specializes in the treatment of depression, anxiety, PTSD, ADHD, insomnia, bipolar disorder, and schizophrenia. Gabriel is known for his calm presence, clinical insight, and ability to meet patients wherever they are in their healing journey.
Gabriel’s approach combines IFS (Internal Family Systems), trauma-informed, and person-centered therapy with comprehensive medication management. He works primarily with adults and has a special passion for men’s mental health. Known for his honesty, empathy, and calm presence, Gabriel treats the whole person—mind, body, and spirit—helping individuals build resilience and lasting change. Outside of work, he enjoys hiking, camping, and fly fishing with his family, and finds purpose in supporting others’ emotional and spiritual well-being.
